Torture survivors, praying at the Pattani Mosque and more art by Luke Duggleby

Torture survivors, praying at the Pattani Mosque, 2020

A place of refuge, the mosque is a place where many of the torture survivors in Pattani go to, with the hope of seeking solace and internal peace, away from their troubling past. Healing from the experience of being tortured can be a challenging, lifelong pursuit, and many in the context of Southern Thailand, turn to their personal faith and their local communities for their on-going salvation to reclaim their lost dignity and humanity.
