A woman is caught in the crossfire during the pillaging of her village. Look close and you will see an arrow in her chest. The blue in the painting represents the color of her soul because we are witnessing her moment of death or a near-death experience— the viewer must decide.
I wanted a feeling of chaos and adulation in this piece because she's running for her life —body pushed to the limit and still, she stuns us with her beauty.
