A few years ago, I took a trip to Paris with two of my best friends, Caroline and Danny. Caroline and I have traveled to many places together. She is someone who has inspired me to see the world no matter the budget. Going to Paris was an eye-opening experience.
I have always thought of Paris as a city where I could live and that became even more evident when I traveled there and discovered that the media had even whitewashed Paris. There are more black people in Paris than I ever would have imagined— It is our city as much as it is anyone else’s and once I realized that, I felt right at home.
