Frederick Henwood (1864-1948) à commencé à peindre, à Écouen, en 1886. Après de décès d'Auguste Schenck, il revient en France pour réaliser ce portrait ,d'après une photographie de Mulnier, qu'il offre à sa veuve.
Frederick Henwood (1864-1948) began to paint in Ecouen in 1886.
Not long after Auguste Schenck death, he came back to France to paint his portrait, from a picture of Mulnier, and gave it to his widow.
