I love idioms! They are a crazy way to describe life happenings so that you can visualize what could happen. Like “It is raining cats and dogs.” Who came up with that?! Why those animals? Why animals at all? It is a fascinating concept of rain. I asked kids across the Western United States what they thought it would look like if it rained cats and dogs and then replicated their drawings in this art piece. The girl is based on one child who firmly stated to me, “Ugh. NO DOGS. I want it to rain only cats.”
