Self-love is a necessary practice. I have had to learn this truth the hard way. Prayer and meditation have helped me to love myself again. I think about my ancestors and how much they had to fight to keep a sense of self in order to get up every day — believing a change would come. I believe that self-love is an important practice in order to fight evil in this world.
