Nina Ruminska is a member of Dublin Sketchers

This painting was part of "There's a touch of the artist about old Bloom", our 2017 Bloomsday group show. The exhibition was visual response to Ulysses through sketching on location in the Parnell Square Cultural Quarter of Dublin. Curated by the Olivier Cornet Gallery, Jessica Peel-Yates and Marie-Hélène Brohan Delhaye, the exhibition was preceded by a four-day sketching event exploring the fabric of the James Joyce’s Dublin, real or imagined. Participating artists were drawn from a number of disciplines (fine art, illustration, architecture, animation, costume and set design as well as graphic design) where drawing and sketching are an important aspect of their work; either as an end in itself, as a way to develop ideas, or as part of their creative process. The artists were: Alice Campbell, Aisling Conroy, Aideen Griffin, Balazs Keresztury, Frank Kiely, Niamh Lunny, Pat McAfee, James Moore, Mauro Moroni, Mary O’Carroll, Léo Régeard aka LEYHO and Nina Ruminska.
