Inner-tree and more art by Hilde Maassen

Inner-tree, 2022
8 x 8 cm (h x w)
photo of an augmented reality experiences

The plywood circle is a processed wood that vaguely recalls the source; a log. The annual rings are gone and you can't tell what kind of tree it once was. During the last storms Eunice and Franklin many trees were blown down. These were photographed and merged into one file that was converted into a 3D object that was placed on the plywood circle by means of augmented reality and thus photographed as a reminder of the origins of plywood. Based on the contrast of that image, a 3D object is generated that is placed on the plywood circle via augmented reality.
