Gyermekkori rovargyűjteményem büszkesége volt egy szarvasbogár. Azóta is csodálattal tekintek ezekre a különös lényekre, bár már egyre ritkábban találkozhatunk velük. A quilthez festett textilekkel a haramosan éledő tavaszi erdő színeit szerettem volna megidézni.

The pride of my childhood insect collection was a stag beetle. I still admire these strange creatures, even though they are becoming increasingly rare. With the textiles dyed for the quilt, I wanted to evoke the colours of the forest in early spring.
