The painting was a gift to the Ambassador of Japan to Ukraine (01.09.2011-29.08.2014) Mr. Sakata Toichi by the artist.

Viktor Petrov is a nuclear physicist, a former employee of the Chernobyl nuclear power plant, a resident of Prip'yat, an artist by vocation.

After graduating from Kiev State University in a field of the theoretical nuclear physics, Viktor worked at the Chernobyl nuclear power plant for 16 years, participated in the physical commissioning of all power units, starting with the first unit. He participated in the liquidation of the Chernobyl accident in 1986-1991.

After the tragedy Viktor started painting. His paintings are full of deep philosophical meaning. The subject of the paintings are the result of the Petrov's reflection on the world and human place in it. The paintings depicts collision of contradictions of human nature and the world around, anxiety for the future and consequences of human activity. The art has a deep philosophical meaning, omissions, it became a symbol of the Age. In Petrov's paintings you feel the responsibility of man to the universe, the responsibility for his life and the lives of future generations, to the pain you feel the passage of time - "Chronos", the fragility of everything created on Earth.

The works of Victor Petrov was exhibited in Ukraine, Poland, Germany, Russia, France, his paintings are in private collections in Ukraine, Germany, America, and Japan.
