Constance Enola Morgan
Born: October 17,1935,Philadelphia,PA
Died: October 14,1996,Philadelphia,PA

Constance Enola Morgan started her baseball career in high school with the North Philadelphia Honey Dippers, an all-black women's semi pro-team. Morgan began studying business after high school, but inspired by Toni Stone, she wrote to Indianapolis Clowns owner Sid Pollack to ask for a tryout. A year later, she was invited to demonstrate her skills, and she made an impressive showing. In 1954, she replaced Toni Stone as a second base player when she joined the Indianapolis Clowns. Morgan could play just about any position on the field, and she was the third woman to play in the Negro Leagues. Morgan retired from professional baseball after one season with the Indianapolis Clowns and returned to William Penn Business School. She graduated in 1955 and years later would go on to work for the American Federation of Labor and Congress of Industrial Organizations (AFL-CIO). In 1995, Morgan was inducted into the Pennsylvania Sports Hall of Fame.
