Repeated Lines , 2020

Ink on Paper

A long rectangular strip of paper on which many lines rundown it length-wise. The line weight varies the thickness throughout the long downward single strokes. The lines snake from dark inky wires, to barely there, wispy plumes of smoke. They are spaced out in such a way that they bump and overlap but never cross completely. The lines ripple together and create wave forms along the surface of the piece. They drape over the surface of the paper lining it with hair-like strands.
