In my acrylic painting self portrait, I'm proudly wearing my hijab, while illustrating the things that keep my mental health positive. The crown on my head symbolizes how I treat both my mind and body, which leads to the Z’s on the top left corner. They represent how I often try to get a good night’s sleep, so I can live the next day to the fullest. I frequently try to focus on the positive, instead of allowing the negative to surround my thoughts and wellbeing; therefore the cloud covering my eyes demonstrates how the green positivity is surrounding the black negativity. Hobbies and interests are amazing ways to emphasize and promote positivity, drawing is something I enjoy and find comfort in, hence why I'm holding my cherished flamingo pen.
