In my painting, I used watercolour to paint the background a light colour and my self-portrait in a darker colour using gouache. I was using dark colours because there’s a lot of dark stuff that happened so I made it dark so no one can see; everyone always has something to hide either emotions or scars that are left forever. I chose a light background because even though stuff is going on I choose to have a smile on my face. People might see you for you but there are always people who will have an opinion about you. My headphones are showing a way to block all the negative stuff out. Portuguese always have strong genes especially when speaking out. When it comes to fun we’re always the life of the party and we love to be outside. I will use my heritage to keep me on track.
