Dekooning Newsweek , 1965
24 x 20 x 1 in (h x w x d)

One of Dorothy's achievements was that she was on the jury committee for a large invitational Juried show. The Judge who was from Manhattan was a fried of Wilhem. I"m still trying to get the Judge's name - but he did semi-abstract collages - very tasteful. Anyways he called My mother late at night (back when long distance calls from NYC was a big deal) and let her know that he could get one of Dekooning's Women paintings. It was about 36x 24 - not a huge canvas but it turned out to be the star of the show and drew attendees far and wide. My mother was elated.
