Public Bikes: Poster , 2012
60 x 40 x 0.1 in (h x w x d)

(actual size: 40”w x 60”h)

The vast majority of Public Bike owners are women—a statistic I used to differentiate the San Francisco–based company from other cycling brands. The poster’s flowers evoke a city in which women pedal to the farmers market with their bike baskets overflowing with blooms. This inspiration appears again at the bottom of the poster, where an illustrated gear includes a bicycle with an asterisk “flower” in its basket.
