Patterns under the Sea is another beautiful example of Doherty's practice, provoking a sense of calm with its balanced composition and tranquil colour palette in hues of blue and purple.

Robyn Doherty's art practice involves the creation of intricate works using paint pens and markers on paper. Her gentle observations of serene landscapes, animals and linear pattern formations are complemented by a deliberate, considered application of the medium and elegantly balanced composition.

Doherty has worked at Arts Project Australia since 2011. She has been included in a number of group exhibitions in Melbourne including at Linden New Art, Melbourne Art Fair and her work is held in private collections in Australia.
