Blind to Complexity works to depict the ability that people have to blind themselves to complex topics that may affect the way they view themselves or their behaviors. It illustrates a singular grayscale drawing of a face that is blindfolded sitting in a galaxy landscape. While the person in the painting is surrounded by beautiful and interesting objects they have chosen to ignore the complex structures around them and in doing so have also diminished their own vibrancy. I hope that the beauty around us will be enough for people to allow some of that color to seep into themselves and gives us all strength to remove our blindfolds.
