"When I was creating my sculpture, I hoped that it would inspire a sense of purity,
flow, imagination... blithe in the viewer. I chose to incorporate the pages of a
story and sheet music in the form of water to symbolize the world through the
eyes of a child. Painted by boundless creativity and unscathed by life’s
shadows. The horse, strong and majestic, like a guard, with the little kid on its
back wrapped in unconditional love, safely floating together as the story of life
unfolds. As a child, I always felt uplifted by the sound of music, a great book, or
when in the presence of animals."
