ABOUT THE ARTIST
Frank Gillette is an American artist. He is a pioneer of multiple channel and time-delay
installations-- work which often integrates the audience.  His early work pays a parallel concern with visual observation, closely related to a scientific interest with an ecological passion for the natural world.

ARTIST STATEMENT
We, the human race, are living through stupefying times.  Ecological collapse is no longer a fantasy, a fiction or a dalliance with illusion.  It is real, concrete and universal. How are visual artists expected to develop a counterstatement, both in their work and their attitude towards onrushing technologies, which are, by a wide margin, resisting ecological solutions?  How can visual art make a difference, making the difference?
