This digital animation represents a deep exploration of my theme, change and consistency over time, by presenting different historical periods of architecture. I used the programs Adobe Photoshop and AfterEffects to create the digital aspects of this artwork; the backgrounds and moving components. The buildings, from different historical periods, which are present in the background depict tudor and futuristic architecture. This change in architecture over time, contrasts with the continuity of nature, represented by the rose in the foreground. There is also the moving focal point of the figure walking along the road, from the left to the right of the screen. This not only adds movement to the animation, but gives a sense of the duration of the artwork. The various moving components of the artwork also add to this distinct exploration of each era. For example, the horse-drawn cart in the Georgian era background represents the advancement of the time, as this was the technology available during this period.
