This artwork is a performance piece turned into video art which utilised the human face to explore undesirable emotions and recontextualise the way we see them. This simple symmetrical composition allows for there to be negative space around the performer which is filled with a vibrant pattern and colours in constant liquid movement. These vibrant colours of the background are complimented by the contrasting vibrant colours edited onto the performers faces. The music through its incorporation of primitive sounding percussion as well as non lyrical vocal parts filtered through new age effects creates a sense of unease and tension in the piece and elevates the unsettling visuals. The experience watching this video with the droning rhythm paired
with the constant changing of the visuals becomes a meditative experience where all these elements, visual and auditory, balance one another to create a common harmony.
