Gleyeson creates art inspired by occult, mystical and new age ideas in popular culture.
Gleyeson uses digital collage to create images inspired by comic books from the 1960s to 1980s, as well as toys, trading cards and the ephemera of ‘geek culture’. Gleyeson believes these artefacts come from a magical place, creating activity in the parietal cortex in much the same way as spiritual experiences.

Each piece submitted is part of a larger mythology, one of intergalactic deities and distant galaxies. The work represents the artefacts of this mythology, the cultural detritus of alien civilisations.
