Klara Vith is an Austrian artist currently based in London. She graduated from Camberwell College of Arts in 2018 with an MA in Visual Arts: Book Arts.

Her work usually centres on found text. The fragments are instructional, often politically loaded. More recently, meteorological observation has become a means to make sense of our continuously evolving surroundings, evoking a power struggle in the face of the inevitable.

Vith’s work spans printmaking, site-specific intervention and digital art, but her main medium is letterpress, where she combines metal type with photopolymer. Over the past year, hand-drawn and painted elements have begun to play a role in her work.

Vith has previously been awarded by The Printing Charity and selected for Bloomberg New Contemporaries 2019. Since 2016, her work has been exhibited nationally and internationally. She is co-founder of Edition Residencies, a migratory residency project formed in 2017, and she forms one half of the collaborative project p_e_a_k_a_y_.
