Ren Man Is predominantly a multi media artist exploring both digital and traditional techniques in printmaking to transcend and re-imagine sense of place within exterior and interior settings; seen, unseen, or experienced in the real world.

Her work leans favourably towards speculative fiction that typically deals with futuristic and imagined concepts ordinarily encapsulated within the genre of science fiction. These include themes that are meaningfully investigated within the arena of science; technology; physics and metaphysics, including pressing social and environmental changes. Her work’s focus aims to raise the level of consciousness.

A hybrid of photographic imagery is manipulated to create otherworldly imagery and to describe an entirely new visual landscape. Sometimes these are simple, abstracted images taken directly from the natural world of light; captured scientific phenomena, or flight travel: a metaphor for travelling into other realms and possibilities of visual/existence.

Ren graduated from The Royal College or Art with an MA in ceramics and glass in 1996.

Her work has featured in numerous publications including The Independent; Wallpaper magazine, The International Design Yearbook and Elle Decoration. She was awarded funding from The England Art Council for research and development. Her work has been shown at the Geoffrey Museum and The Victoria and Albert Museum. She is an award winner for Rosenthal and Tormore Whisky.
