Ilona’s work is inspired by Nature and the idea that human beings are part of Nature. She creates landscapes from observation and imagination, and scapes that invite the viewer into an abstract world filled with texture and colour. She constantly returns to trees, water, the sea, the rain, the sky, the wind, the sun, the stars, the human body - anything that speaks of the elements and the universe. She likes to think in light, colour, movement and energy.

Her work celebrates Nature in a non linear, circular way. Ilona works in a very tactile and instinctive, free way through monoprinting, painting and animation.
