ABOUT THE ARTIST
Jacque Rosenau has been working as a studio artist in real materials most of her life, as the digital options became more viable, she quickly converted her painting studio to a digital workstation. The unlimited access to brushes and colors has liberated her ability to follow unfiltered impulses that resonate with her creative instincts. Just as the parameters of expression were reinvigorated with the abstract expressionists, digitally she has reinvented how she approaches her art.

ABOUT THIS ARTWORK
Using collage and painting elements, this piece explores the idea of deity and misfit, both being a little rough around the edges. This assembly was put together by impulse and parts that I found striking, until this character emerged. Working digitally allows for more immediate expression, which reflects my concept of Techspressionism. This portrait is interwoven with the moment and is a direct response of the "flow" between materials and artist.

PLEASE NOTE: The scale of this artwork has been adjusted for the purposes of this virtual exhibition.
