Ancestor’s of Harris traveled from Ireland to Ellis Island following Annie Moore and her two younger brothers to more opportunities in America.
They brought with them their skills, creativity and love for our family. Bringing opportunities for future generations to come. Growing our tree from New York to Tennessee, Harrisburg, PA., Ohio and St. Louis, MO. The love we have for each other and creative drive has made us who we are today.
My story started at my childhood home in St. Louis. Although that was just the beginning of my long life it was a memory that I hold onto forever. As you can see in my project the string is tied to the end of the tree.
This is representing the beginning while moving up the tree to how my family came to be. Going to Tennessee where my great grandparents lived and raised their children, to my great grandpa getting shipped to Germany to fight in the war. Leading to John Harris, founder of Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. To the beginning of our life in America from the travel to Ellis Island from Ireland to chase the abundant dreams that I am chasing today.
