Towards the Skerries , 2021
90 x 90 x 0.3 cm (h x w x d)

An unforgiving place is the natural environment for things that move and flow dynamically. A gull glides with ease towards a remote land battered by a raging sea. Isolation and fury are counterpointed with belonging and control. The juxtaposition is real and strange in equal measure. It is dangerous, but safe for the bird in its own element.
