Vision I - Life leaving the body , 1978
68 x 68 x 1 in (h x w x d)
Oil on Canvas

The following three paintings were the last works painted at my home on Screamer Mountain, Clayton, Georgia. I moved to West Virginia in the fall of 1978.
These works have never been exhibited or removed from my home where they are stored.
They are an animated vision of a dying person. That is “The Light at the end of a tunnel.”
I experienced, with my father as he was dying, this vision. There is a long story surrounding this event; described in the book, “Core of my Joy”
The reason these paintings have never been seen is I have felt very self-conscious about them and am not certain the general public would welcome such images.
