The Feelings of Home , 2020

To me, home is mostly a feeling. I’ve never really depended on a physical object to remind me of home. However, I challenged myself to depict something physical along with feelings of home. In my painting, there is a dandelion, and the reason behind that is because there has always been a dandelion plant outside my house door. I sometimes pick it and blow out the seeds. It is just something minor that does remind me of home. Everything else depicted are feelings and family. The hands holding is the support I feel from my family as they are always there when something goes wrong or I need something. The last center image is meant to symbolize me holding onto my family (heart balloons). I know they will always be there to lift me up, no matter what path I take into fulfilling my future, which is what is being depicted in the painting.
