The first King of the first period of the Benin Kingdom at Ugbeku. The Osigo period ended with Ogiso Owodo, the last Osigo of Igodomigodo about 1068 following the death of his father Ogiso Arigho. The Benin monarchical system entered the second period under the system of Obaship also known as the Eweka Dynasty beginning with Oba (King) Eweka 1st about 1200 CE which still continues in present day.
