The endless ardor II
80 x 60 cm (h x w)
charcoal on paper

Inspired by the feeling of confusion, craving, and anger, this diptych uses charcoal to depict this, by creating a rough, dark, yet seemingly passionate atmosphere. This is made through movement in each person, as they turn and bend, exposing their vulnerability. Additionally, the large frame creates a nonlimiting space implying a free atmosphere. This concept of exposure is used to initiate the same in the viewer. The missing heads, in this case, depict sovereignty and ease.
