Artist Statement

This shot was taken on a road trip to Nova Scotia. It shows a fisherman fixing boat bumpers in a hut on the water by Peggy’s point lighthouse. I usually shoot commercial/product shoots as well as portraits but when I shot this image, I fell in love with the photo as it shows the world different things and lifestyles. Post-production is usually one of my favourite things to do but I was pleasantly surprised that this photo didn't need much of anything. The crop adds depth and dimension to the photo. This photo is simple but still tells a story to the viewers and I feel like I accomplished what I wanted with this photo.
