Chemistry is depicted as an immense jungle, brimming with flora and fauna that are at once inviting and exuberant, yet strange and mysterious; a whimsical playground that reminisces the courage, passion, and light-hearted playfulness of female scientists as it invites the eye to explore and discover its visual density. A singular high heel dominates the pictorial image, playfully alluding to a female adventurer-chemist, mysterious yet brazen, seen and felt, yet not physically identified, an homage to the women who came be¬fore and those who have yet to come. Through this image I hope to pay due respect to the pioneering women of chemistry and science who have come before, whilst capturing their universally powerful qualities of courage, boldness and adven¬ture in a fresh, whimsical, and bold new way.
