Λευκά Όρη, Κρήτη. Είναι η μεγαλύτερη σε έκταση οροσειρά της Κρήτης με υψηλότερη κορυφή τις Πάχνες (2.453 μ.). Τα Λευκά Όρη έχουν περισσότερες από πενήντα κορυφές με υψόμετρο άνω των 2.000 μέτρων και αποτελούν έναν από τους σημαντικότερους πεζοπορικούς προορισμούς της Ελλάδας. Δεκάδες μονοπάτια διατρέχουν το ορεινό σύμπλεγμα και τα περισσότερα φαράγγια είναι βατά, με διασημότερο αυτό της Σαμαριάς.

Lefka Ori, Crete island. It is the largest mountain range in Crete with Pachnes being the highest summit (2,453 m.). Lefka Ori mountain range has more than fifty summits with an altitude of over 2,000 meters and is one of the most important hiking destinations in Greece. Dozens of paths run through the mountain complex and most of the gorges are accessible, the most well-known being the gorge of Samaria.
