Fallen Berries , 2020
48 x 40 in (h x w)
Ink, gouache, and collage on found plastic

Martinez works are defined as visibility and representation as an act of rebellion as a way to show ownership of culture, exploring California in a way to draw attention to what has been thought of as invisible. Martinez lives in Long Beach and draws on flattened produce boxes, inspired by his time as a farmworker, hoping many will see themselves in his work.
