“IT Programming” (2022) is a digital art piece by Qayim Kanji from Ottawa, Ontario.
Situation:
The Future of Work participant is a mature worker that started a Computer Science degree program 35 years ago, but never finished. They went into business and had a family. After a divorce, the COVID-19 pandemic hit,the individual found themselves unemployed and decided to take some online courses in Information Technology (IT). The participant did some courses in coding and obtained an AWS Certification.
Future of Work Coaching:
The Future of Work Coach explored a transition to a new career using the AWS Certification. The Future of Work participant received regular coaching as well as a session on how to prepare for an interview with a Future of Work Coach who also had an IT background.

Future of Work Outcome:
The Future of Work participant has secured a 3-month contract to work remotely for a company in New York and is so grateful for the invaluable support from both Future of Work Coaches.
The Future of Work participant indicated the following “I really want to thank you for all your help. I also managed to get another 2-month remote contract job in Dallas, TX with the opportunity to secure a 2-year contract as a Data Analyst with the same company. Things are looking promising.”

Situation:
Le participant au programme L'avenir du Travail est un travailleur d'âge moyen qui a commencé un programme de diplôme en informatique il y a 35 ans, mais qui ne l'a jamais terminé. Il s'est lancé en affaires et a fondé une famille. Après un divorce, la pandémie de COVID-19 a frappé, la personne s'est retrouvée sans emploi et a décidé de suivre des cours en ligne en technologie de l'information (TI). Le participant a suivi quelques cours de codage et a obtenu un certificat AWS.
Coaching sur l'avenir du travail:
Le coach L'avenir du Travail a exploré une transition vers une nouvelle carrière en utilisant la certification AWS. Le participant au programme L'avenir du Travail a bénéficié d'un coaching régulier et d'une séance de préparation à un entretien avec un coach L'avenir du Travail ayant également une expérience en informatique.

Le participant au programme L'avenir du Travail a obtenu un contrat de trois mois pour travailler à distance pour une entreprise à New York et il est très reconnaissant du soutien inestimable des deux coachs L'avenir du Travail.
Le participant au programme L'avenir du Travail nous a partagé ce qui suit: "Je tiens vraiment à vous remercier pour toute votre aide. J'ai également réussi à obtenir un autre emploi contractuel à distance pour 2 mois à Dallas, TX, avec la possibilité d'obtenir un contrat de 2 ans en tant qu'analyste de données dans la même entreprise. Les choses semblent prometteuses."
