Situation:
The Future of Work participant arrived in Canada from India and completed a Masters of Administration at an east coast university. The individual was working in a job they described as repetitive, mundane and with no opportunity for career growth. The participant had previously worked in the field of medical research and wanted to find future opportunities in this field.
Future of Work Coaching:
The Future of Work coach noted that the participant had a lot of passion, skills and knowledge in their medical specialty. Working with the coach, the participant reviewed job postings, identified job-specific requirements and learned how they could tailor their resume towards their preferred career.
Working with the Future of Work coach, the participant went on to create networking strategies using LinkedIn and Ten Thousand Chais. The coach also supported the participant in drafting emails, and preparing for interviews. The participant targeted companies of interest and connected with hiring managers via LinkedIn. They customized their resume and applied for jobs.

Future of Work outcome:
The Future of Work participant was hired in a role in medical research. This position has a higher salary than they previously earned, with career growth opportunities and has a benefits package. The participant is relocating to the west coast to pursue this new opportunity.
The Future of Work participant commented that “I feel blessed to have received the help and support I did from the Future Ready Initiative, and would love to share my story with others.”

Le participant au programme L'avenir du Travail est arrivé au Canada de l'Inde et a obtenu une maîtrise en administration dans une université de la côte Est. Il occupait un emploi qu'il décrivait comme répétitif, banal et sans possibilité d'évolution de carrière. Le participant avait précédemment travaillé dans le domaine de la recherche médicale et souhaitait trouver des opportunités futures dans ce domaine.
Coaching sur l'avenir du travail:
Le coach L'avenir du Travail a noté que le participant avait beaucoup de passion, de compétences et de connaissances dans sa spécialité médicale. En collaboration avec l'accompagnateur, le participant a examiné les offres d'emploi dans le domaine, a identifié les exigences spécifiques au poste et a appris comment adapter son curriculum vitae à sa carrière de choix.
En collaboration avec le coach L'avenir du Travail, le participant a ensuite créé des stratégies de réseautage en utilisant LinkedIn et Dix Mille Chais. Le coach a également aidé le participant à rédiger des courriels et à se préparer pour les entretiens. Le participant a ciblé les entreprises qui l'intéressaient et a établi des contacts avec les responsables du recrutement via LinkedIn. Il a personnalisé son CV et a postulé à des emplois.

Résultat de L'avenir du Travail
Le participant de L’avenir du Travail a été embauché dans un poste de recherche médicale. Ce poste offre un salaire plus élevé que celui qu'il gagnait auparavant, des possibilités d'évolution de carrière et un ensemble d'avantages sociaux. Le participant déménagera sur la côte ouest du pays pour saisir cette nouvelle opportunité.
Le participant au programme L'avenir du Travai a dit : " Je me sens privilégié d'avoir reçu l'aide et le soutien de l'initiative Future Ready et j'aimerais partager mon histoire avec les autres. "
