Baurjan Aralov is a Kazakh artist born in 1997 in Almaty who lives and works in Graz, Austria since 2008. He is currently studying at the University of Applied Arts Vienna in the specialization Painting and Animation in the class of Judith Eisler. Previously, he obtained a Master's degree in Art and Design at the University of Graz in its painting department. The pictures he paints are incidental moments, that the artist experiences in his daily life. The criteria he chooses are his motives which express the aesthetic sensation that Baurjan perceives at the moment of looking. It doesn't matter if they are "meme" on social networks, interior decorations, or walks in his neighbourhood. The key is that everything happens by coincidence and that Baurjan does not deliberately look for the next subject. He uses motifs as a basis for his work. He then focuses on the process of painting and thus addresses issues of composition and dynamics in media painting and its identity. The artist considers his works as autonomous positions where the painting process is in the foreground.
