Alcohol inks on lightweight concrete panel

Art director and graphic designer for more than 30 years, Jen is attracted by movement and materials. Alcohol inks are a rather particular fluid technique that is worked by moving the inks horizontally. Each creation is a surprise, unique... Lightweight concrete panels as support give the whole picture a distinctive look. The new series mixes alcohol inks and concrete in the manner of kintsugi, a Japanese method of repairing with gold. Concrete is broken and glued back together while the cracks are sublimated.
