In the artist's own words: " I painted a little scene of a coral with a school of red fish. To truly appreciate the beauty and create solutions in sustaining the quality of the Earth’s waters, we must care for the wildlife that call the rivers, seas, and oceans their home. Corals play such a huge part in marine biodiversity – from being natural filters and homes more many fish to being living animals themselves. Today we face the global issue of coral bleaching caused by excessive human intervention through pollution and climate change, and we must remind ourselves that these ‘rocks’ that wash upon our shores are keys to preserving a vital source of life."
