To question the subject matter with new insights in a different medium, and as can be seen in '2022-014 1989-044, Mohnd' to present it reduced to its essence, extracted and almost redefined in terms of content, is an extended approach that gains new facets especially as a result of digitalization.
With such steps, HRW also demonstrates reflection and a special relationship to his own oeuvre. One image may serve as a building body for the next, to approach some topics while thinking in a complete circle. There are many of these eternal confrontations in HRW's work: Illumination and light direction as in the digital reworkings, surf as a landscape element or as a physical one that is then pixelated, trees and passages in vegetation - the recurring handling of such themes also testifies to a persistent thoroughness in re-addressing old questions with new technical means.
