Reflections of Service is one of the many photographs I have taken during my time placing flags on the graves of service members who are laid to rest at the Bay Pines National Cemetery in Saint Petersburg, Florida. I choose to volunteer my time as well as capture images as a way to reflect on my service in the United States Air Force and the impact that service continues to have on my life to this day.

The United States Air Force instills the core values of "integrity first, service before self, and excellence in all we do" as integral to being a service member as well as a community member. When I am volunteering to honor those who have served, I continue to live those core values that I still hold dear and I feel a sense of honor and pride that is a reflection of my past that I continue to welcome into the present.
