This series is about self-realization through decisions regarding the own body, specifically about body hair and body modifications. The technique of modifying photos and photographing that version again is influenced by artworks from Hayden Dunham (HYD) and adds layers in the exploration of the subject, conveying personal feelings of ambiguity towards an individual’s choices in presentation. The blue tint of the photos sets them in a surreal context and enables a fresh, less biased perspective.
