Learning is life’s greatest adventure and gift. I wanted to portray the joy of learning through the lens of a child learning about the ways of the world through play in this illustration. This illustration serves as a reminder for the innate child-like curiosity and hunger for knowledge that we all possessed as children which follows us and remains unchanging with time. Having studied chemistry all my life until I entered university, I can say that I have an appreciation for the subject. My experience with chemistry exposed myself to a whole new world of learning and it was like stepping foot to a whole new playground. Through this illustration, I was able to contemplate my sentiments towards chemistry and portray my feelings of enjoyment and curiosity towards the subject.
