This piece is a large charcoal sketch. Our task was to create a foreshortened image, and I chose this image. I was inspired by this photo that a teammate took of my friend and I. during practice, we had to do box jumps, and we weren’t sure if we could. When we jumped up, we got a photo. This is quite large, and was a new medium for me.

Sophie Hay is a student at Michael power St. Joseph SS. her work is a done in a traditional, semi-realistic style. She likes focusing on perspectives and emotions when creating her work. In her free time she swims and sketches.
