"The word community means a place of peace and welcome. Where people are free to do and be whatever they would like. Everyone embraces each other's differences, and it's just a harmonized place. I am a part of many communities. I’m from Ireland, England, Scotland, and Germany. What makes the DDSB what it is because of the many communities in it. Different cultures in our community include Asians, Indians, Mexicans, Americans, Canadians, Australians and many more. How we can nurture our community is by being inclusive and open-minded. Just being conscious of the many backgrounds and traditions is a great way to nurture. But also having an open mind to identities and different ways of thinking, dressing, and just living. What I would like to say is that I think everyone should be equal. We should embrace diversity and differences because without them the world wouldn’t be the same, and it would be very boring. Equality is key and every day we should work towards it. The world would be a lot better if we could just forget the stereotypes and the hate. Life would be peaceful and happier, and who wouldn’t want that.
