New Horizons is a collaborative sketchbook project between professional artist Tanya Raabe-Webber and seven emerging artists from Orpheus, a college with a focus on the arts.
During a series of online zoom interventions the Orpheus artists joined Tanya from her home studio in Shropshire. In this virtual space they experimented with a variety of new art materials and creative techniques on the theme of creatures in their own worlds.
The sketchbooks explored ways to make artworks layering three different elements. These elements include different horizons, our creatures and animals and close-up details in front and over the top of our creatures.
In this online virtual exhibition you will see a curated selection of sketchbook pages. Each artwork presented larger than life to give you an insight into the artist’s creative practice.

This exhibition also includes an ambient soundtrack playing in the background composed, arranged and played by Orpheus Music Enterprise.
