National Hispanic Heritage Month is dedicated to celebrate and recognize all of the amazing accomplishments Hispanics have created. This is a month-long holiday that starts September 15 and ends October 15. Throughout the month, people celebrate by embracing their family traditions, creating art shows to express all of these beautiful cultures, and holding festivals with lots of typical Spanish music such as banda, bachata, salsa, cumbia, etc. In my photographs, I wanted to focus on the traditional clothing pieces from a variety of different cultures. For instance, my friend Ketzally, the one in the middle, is wearing traditional indigenous clothing. Cindy, on the left, is wearing a traditional shirt from El Salvador. Lastly, Arlene, on the right, is wearing a traditional dress from Mexico, from the state of Jalisco. Although I could not capture all of the cultures that are celebrated during Hispanic Heritage Month, the vibrant colors definitely represent all of the colorful hispanic cultures.
